‘Unveiling Ceremony’ to compete at polish fest

‘Unveiling Ceremony’ to vie at PUBLICYSTYKA

Iranian Animation ‘Unveiling Ceremony’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the the 24th PUBLICYSTYKA festival in Poland.

Directed by Mehdi Boustani, the animation is about justice and set in no particular country while showing the world going into disarray. It tells the story of the unveiling ceremony of a symbol, but problems unfold as the story goes on.

The animated short piece has so far been screened at the film festivals Detmold (Germany), Grenoble (France), Movie ScreenPro, New Animation (both in the US), Iranian film (Paris), CyBorg (Italy), and Cartoon Club Rimini (Italy); it previously won special mention at the 2017 New Animation International Film Festival in the US.

The festival hosts amateur and journalistic works, with social and political themes.

The 24th PUBLICYSTYKA fest is slated to be held October 20-22, 2017 in Kozle, Poland.
